Wedding bells will be ringing with another royal couple set to begin married life.
This time it’s Lady Gabriella Windsor tying the knot, however, while she is a member of the extended royal family, not everyone may be familiar with her.
Here’s what you need to know about the royal and her upcoming nuptials.
Who is Lady Gabriella Windsor?
Lady Gabriella is the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Michael being the paternal first cousin to the Queen and grandson to King George V.
This makes her the first cousin once removed to the Queen, the second cousin to Prince Charles and the second cousin once removed from Prince William and Harry.
She is 52nd in line to the throne and as she’s not a working royal with duties to undertake, is free to pursue whatever career she fancies.
Currently, Lady Gabriella works as an arts and travel director for luxury brand Branding Latin America, while also dabbling in freelance writing.
When and where is Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding?
In true royal form, Lady Gabriella is getting married at St George’s Chapel – the same venue in which both Prince William and Prince Harry wed their wives – today, Saturday 18 May.
The 38-year-old got engaged to her husband-to-be Tom Kingston – who is also Pippa Mittleton’s ex – on the Isle of Sark last summer after years of dating, with the pair having first got together in 2015.
Tom worked within the Diplomatic Missions Unit in the Foreign Office, before moving to Baghdad for three years to join the International Centre for Reconciliation, helping to mediate conflicts and negotiating the release of hostages during the Iraq war.
In 2006 he transitioned into finance and has since worked as a chartered financial analyst.
Will the Queen be at Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding?
The Queen was confirmed to be among the royal guests when vows are exchanged this weekend.
Other members of the royal family are also expected to be in attendance, however the guest list is very much under wraps.
It is unlikely we will see new parents the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were became parents to baby Archie last week.
William, the Duke of Cambridge is not expected to attend the big day either, as he will be at the FA Cup final being held the same day. Meanwhile the Duchess of Cambridge could, although is not likely to, attend alone.
However Princess Eugenie, her husband James Brooksbank and the Duke and Duchess of Kent are likely to attend, as all are very close with Lady Gabriella.
