A stranger booked Nawaf Al-Shorify, 38, to deliver a “food” package. The man did not get into the car but asked for the bag to be taken to a house. Nawaf drove away but stopped to check the package after he noticed a “stink” of cannabis — and found the drugs. He called cops but later found his fare had left a negative review for “bad navigation” — which bosses initially refused to remove. The dad of two says the poor rating cost him fares. He said: “I foiled a crime but felt like the one getting punished.” Nawaf had pulled up at the man’s home in Harrow, North London, last Sunday and was asked to deliver to a house in Enfield. He added: “As I was driving the smell got worse. “About halfway I stopped and opened the bag. It was clearly weed. “I spoke to Uber, and they advised me to go to the Met Police.” Nawaf, who had a 4.93 rating after four years, spotted the bad review later that day. At first Uber said the bad rating stood. But the firm backed down after being contacted by The Sun. A spokeswoman said: “The driver did the right thing. His rating will not be impacted.” Police are investigating. GOT a story? RING The Sun on 0207 782 4104 or WHATSAPP on 07423720250 or EMAIL email@example.com
